I am a mom of 5, including 2 sets of twins. The photo here is the crew.
I bet you can’t guess who the twins are!! That’s because they are so very different from one another. Not just different in looks (no, I’m not going to reveal who’s who quite yet – keep reading!) but also different in so many other ways from tastes in food to favorite activities to how they like being tucked in at night. I love their uniqueness and it never ceases to amaze me that two people who have shared the same environment since conception could be so distinct from one another!
It’s never one-size-fits-all in our house!
And it’s probably not one-size-fits-all in your house either. Every child is unique with their own sets of strengths, challenges, interests, abilities, and potential to grow and develop.
Isn’t it great that we don’t have to educate our children with a “one-size-fits-all” approach? That’s the beauty of online learning! With all the resources, curricula, and programs available, you can tailor an education that fits your unique child. And many times this online learning takes place at home, which is proving to be a very effective learning environment according to “Academic Statistics on Homeschooling” by HSLDA. Their article cites the following:
In 1997, a study of 5,402 homeschool students from 1,657 families was released. It was entitled, “Strengths of Their Own: Home Schoolers Across America.” The study demonstrated that homeschoolers, on the average, out-performed their counterparts in the public schools by 30 to 37 percentile points in all subjects.
I challenge you to take a close look at Global Student Network. You’re sure to find the perfect match for your unique child! It will be easier than matching my twins!
(Now let’s see how you did. Our daughter – second child – is twins with our son on the far left – light blue shirt. Our son with the grey sweatshirt is standing next to his twin in the green sweatshirt.)
